MY FAVORITE :)

i can’t remember the last time i had a favorite song. i think it was River by Emeli Sande (Our Version of Events) it’s one of those sweet songs that you listen to the first time and you immediately fall in love💕

i could also classify Loyal by Chris Brown(X) as my favorite song. but i’m getting tired of it. it’s one of the most played songs in my playlist. it must be the beats. it must be Lil Wayne.ohh it must be the lyrics! haha it’s definitely the lyrics 🙂 🙂

but my current favorite songs for real, all happen to come from one album. Lights Out by Ingrid Michaelson. you know that thing where you don’t want to download a full album because you fear that you might only like one or two songs in it? well don’t be afraid people. the whole album is beautiful.

this is the sixth studio album by Ingrid. it was released on April 15 2014 through Cabin 24 Records.
it has a couple of songs that you can happily groove to; Girls Chase Boys, Warpath, Time Machines.  then the songs that provide an emotional high point ; Over You , Open Hands, Ready To Lose and my favorite poppish and fun songs; Home, One Night Town.

the group consists of two guys Ian Axel and Chad Vaccarino. they are best known for their hit single Say Something feat. Christina Aguilera.

Is There Anybody Out There was realeased on 21st Jan 2014 as their debut studio album.

when i first listened to these guys sing I remembered  ‘We Are Young’ by Fun. Ian has this delicate voice that sounds similar to Nate Ruess of Fun 🙂

all the songs in there are radio friendly. there are those over sweet ballad moments such as in Say Something, You’ll Be Okay and Already Home, which is definitely the most compelling track in the album.

then there are those joyful tracks such as Cheer Up, Rockstar and I Really Want it. at this point you just find yourself tapping your fingers or bobbing your head unconciously.

one of the finest addition to the album is Everybody’s Gay. it’s almost the silliest song i have ever heard 🙂This Is The New Year is the oldest song in the album. a cover of it was sang in Glee season 4 episode 12. back then nobody even knew them. look at them now 🙌

this pop album would be the perfect addition to your playlist if you are looking to listen to heart felt yet enjoyable and sweet lyrics. and also if you are a fan of Fun.

when I first listened to Lana Del Ray’s Born To Die (2012) i felt refreshed because the record was different from the normal stuff. the track list was full of glorious moments with blue jeans and summertime sadness becoming big hits and topping charts.

now Lana Del Rey is back with Ultraviolence released on June 13, 2014 through Interscope Records.

this album is not for the mainstream audience. it demands all your attention. you know those songs that are not easy to like? there’s a bunch of them in there 🙂

the album truly portrays Lana’s lyrical artistry. like the previous album, the theme of drugs sex and money is explored by Lana.
her videos are still mysterious with interesting plots and stories.

the songs are generally boring and monotonous. i would encourage a fan of dull music to download it. if you are looking for a ‘born to die’ feel then this is not it. but if you are looking to listen to vintage and old music, then this should be your pick.

the only song that has potential in there is Sad Girl and The Other Woman which i fell asleep listening to 😸 

this might just be my first negative post 😝 but from now on it’s positive vibes only. lol.

i would advice you to buy from iTunes  but aah just go to Pirate Bay and get it for free hehehe. use uTorrent app from the play store 🙂 🙂

Wohooooo my number OnE post 😀 😀 yesssss !!
My friend Julie encouraged me to do this blog…oh she also has a blog about fun stuff. you can visit her blog sweet girl charm here 🙂 interesting stuff going on there.

this post is called ONE because it’s the first one and i like Ed Sheeran’s new song One which is in his new album X. and also because it’s about my number one fave UK artist Birdy after One Direction 😀

i chose to write about BIRDY becaus enot so many people know her music. almost none of my friends know her.

Discover Birdy!!!

 Birdy is an 18 year old English girl who plays the piano and the guitar and also sings. she has two studio albums and one live album ( Live In London).

her first studio album was self titled called Birdy  (2011)  and is my all time fave album.

the tracklist includes covers of songs by other artists, her most popular being Skinny Love originally performed by Bon Iver. most of the songs have been played in  hit TV shows. the songs Skinny Love, Without A Word and Shelter have been featured in Vampire Diaries while Fire and Rain was in Glee. oh Shelter was also featured in Being Human.

her next album Fire Within was released in 2013 but i didn’t like it as much as the first. if you are looking to listen to alternative rock this is it.

her song Wings was featured in the season 5 finale of Vampire Diaries 🙂 remember how emotional that scene was? when Damon and Bonnie got stuck on the other side and it looked like they were going to get sucked into oblivion.
